Kumuda Krovvidi
Founder & Artistic Director

Kumuda Krovvidi is an artist and entrepreneur based in Singapore. She is a passionate artist, author and arts educator with over fifteen years of experience in developing and exhibiting highly creative work. Her solo projects  are research based, innovative and original in their presentation and offer viewers a fresh perspective on artistic processes. She is an artist engaged in enriching lives through arts education and believes that art benefits all. She holds a Certificate in Western Art (Part Time) from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Kumuda is the Co-Founder & Director of Strokearts Studio Pte Ltd , a visual arts company engaged in enriching lives through art education.

Her vision to build a thriving and vital arts organisation that creates distinct artistic experiences and visible social impact is the foundation on which the Kriti Arts Limited has been incorporated. 

Some of her achievements include being the Indian art content provider for Singapore President’s Charity Art Exhibition and Auction 2015. Her artwork was exhibited at the Fullerton Hotel  and to commemorate that event, a limited-edition postal stamp bearing one her art works was released by Singapore Post. 

She created a visual narrative of the Ramayana in Mithila Art, which was exhibited in the Arts House, Parliament Lane, Singapore in 2014 and inaugurated by the High Commissioner of India to Singapore.

In 2021, she exhibited her paintings on Ragamala Paintings titled Visual Melodies at Gallery II, The Arts House, Parliament Lane where she launched her book on the same subject. The exhibition consisted of a creation of a folio of 36 paintings bearing the title name of an Indian Classical Melody and recreating paintings of a popular genre of Indian Miniature Paintings.

She received an Official Selection for her artwork  in the juried contest  ‘All Colors’ held by Landscape Art Review Magazine, USA in 2016 .

She was a featured artist with Contemporary Art Gallery, USA in 2016. 

She was chosen as a Featured Artist by the International A5 Art Magazine and her artwork was featured in #24, Poirtfolio  in 2019.

She was a Featured Artist with Camelback Gallery, 2021. 

She was a Finalist  at the juried International Art Competition ‘Botanicals’ held by The Art Room Gallery in 2021. 

She was one of the ‘Top Ten Women Achievers’ featured by Singapore Publication India Se in 2017.

She was invited to be TED X Speaker for a Singapore International school on the topic of ‘Breaking Boundaries’ in 2018.

She is the Co-founder of Strokearts Studio Pte Ltd , a Company promoting visual arts education in Singapore. She has gained invaluable experience and honed her skills in visual arts education. She designed a skill-based curriculum for visual arts education for students at International Schools and conducted various workshops in local schools. 

She has designed a 20 Week curriculum for Beginners Level Digital Art Course for Global Indian Cultural Centre to teach digitally created art- work and the Course included training in the  use of menu guided brush libraries and mathematical tools. These classes were held online through virtual lessons.

She was invited to Singapore National Day Celebrations at Marine Parade GRC 2020 for conducting online workshop titled ‘Tree of Life’ by Passion Arts Organisation.

To create an awareness and appreciation for visual arts as a means of art therapy she has conducted art workshops that encourage senior citizens improve hand-eye co-ordination through drawing, painting and sculpting. She was invited to conduct such workshops at several Voluntary Welfare Organizations on behalf of Esplanade Outreach Programs.

She has worked with major institutions such as Esplanade and Indian Heritage Centre to provide insight into traditional arts and crafts. She has conducted workshops for major institutions such as National Heritage Board, National Arts Council, High commission of India, Temasek Polytechnic, La Salle College of Arts Artwalk Events, SOTA, Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum, Yishun Health Hospital and others to provide insight into arts and crafts. 

She has conducted Corporate Workshops for GIC, ASM Pacific Technology, CitiBank and others.
